Please find below details of our regular events that we would be delighted to welcome you at, along with any fundraising plans, and local community news and events involving St Matthew's Church.



ST MATTHEW'S AGM - Sunday 29th May @ 12 noon - all welcome 

JUBILEE WEEKEND - Tea Party @ 4.00pm Sunday 5th June, bring along sweet or savoury to share in the celebrations, followed by a Songs of Praise service at 5.30pm in Church.

Bereavement Coffee Group - 2pm on the fourth Monday of every month @ St Matthew's Church, Lightcliffe 

Have you been bereaved and would like somewhere to go for a coffee, a chat, some company?

Dementia friendly coffee mornings resuming at St Chads Church 

Starting again soon and then monthly on the 1st Wednesday of the month, come along to St Chad's Church and join in our Dementia friendly Coffee Morning

BABY SENSORY - Precious Early Learning for Babies

Our open discussion group is held every 3rd Sunday of the month at The Vicarage, everyone welcome, we discuss a different topic each month 


Messy Church 

(Not Currently running in 2022)

4.00pm - 5.00pm 

Every first Sunday of the month we meet for Messy Church, all welcome - refreshments included


Little Sparks 

(More news to follow of restart date)

10.00am - 11.00am  

Every Thursday morning we meet for our Little Sparks Group for babies up to pre school age children with their parents/grandparents/carers - refreshments included 

Brighouse Food Bank - still needs your help.... If you are out and about  passing Church and can help with: 

Packed Lunch Items
Cereals, Canned vegetables or soups, biscuits etc..

  P;ease pop them in the donation box in the Church entrance porch
